By using a simple test chart that records the change in specific gravity using a reliable hydrometer. This rise in specific gravity can take from 2 days on a lightly sulfated/sulphated battery to 14 days on a heavily sulfated/sulphated deep cycle battery. The rise in the specific gravity is your proof that the unit is performing correctly. How long will it take to desulfate/desulphate my battery? That depends on how long it took to become sulfated/sulphated. On average you should see an improvement in the battery within 4 days. However, to return your battery to active use it may take as long as 14 days. Sulfate/Sulphate crystals tend to seek their lowest energy source requirement.
