Pulse Technology is a process of reversing the natural chemical reaction that occurs in a battery, namely sulfation/sulphation.

Below are photographs of battery plates showing before and after the desulfation/desulphation process. These samples were analyzed by a Philips 515 Scanning electron microscope equipped with a Link QX2000 X-Ray analyzer. View 1 (Red) shows crystal growth on an untreated lead peroxide plate. View 2 (Green) shows removal of the crystal growth using our SulfaTak products.

The sulfate/sulphate content is reduced more than ten fold on the treated plate and is equivalent to the sulfur content of a new plate. This corresponds with a massive improvement in the charge carrying capacity of a treated battery.

Can All Batteries Be Recovered?
If the lead plates have been aggressively charged while heavily sulfated/sulphated, the lead plates may be damaged. This does not mean that you cannot reuse the battery but we cannot guarantee the time frame that it will remain an effective battery. Batteries can also have an internal short or a single cell may be damaged. This technology will not rectify these problems.

Warranty
All BES products come with a 3-year parts and 1-year labour warranty against manufacturer defect. Any product that has been abused or tampered with is not covered. All warranty sheets along with a copy of receipt must be forwarded to BES within 14 days of purchase for warranty coverage to be applicable.

What are the benefits of a battery that is sulfate/sulphate free?

1. PROTECTION OF ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS. Any vehicle that is relying on battery power to operate lighting, motors, gauges, radios etc. will receive clean constant DC power. As soon as your battery is sulfated/sulphated it means it is not providing what that component needs; therefore, it draws more amperage which means heat and potential premature failure.
2. EXTENDS BATTERY LIFE. Batteries that were previously un-useable can be recovered if they have failed due to sulfation/sulphation. Also batteries that are still in service can have life extended by keeping the lead plates free of sulfate/sulphate crystals.
3. ENVIRONMENT. Although batteries are recycled like many products, by extending their useful life we use less raw materials and there is less chance of them being in land fill.
